Cookie & Storage Policy
Last updated: 18 March 2026 · Version 1.0
1. Overview
WayEV uses minimal browser storage to operate the service. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers, or third-party tracking pixels. This policy explains what is stored in your browser and why.
2. What we store
| Storage | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
wayev_auth | localStorage | Authentication tokens (JWT access + refresh token) to keep you signed in | Access: 15 min; Refresh: 7 days |
3. Third-party storage
Mapbox GL JS (map rendering library) may set essential performance cookies or use IndexedDB to cache map tiles. These are strictly necessary for the map to function and do not track you across websites. Mapbox’s privacy policy applies to data collected by their library.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other third-party analytics or advertising tools.
4. How to manage storage
You can clear localStorage and cookies at any time through your browser settings. Clearing wayev_auth will sign you out. To clear:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Clear Browsing Data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Clear Data
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
5. Changes to this policy
If we introduce new storage mechanisms (e.g. analytics), we will update this policy and notify you. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your personal data.
