Our Mission

To give every electric vehicle driver in the UK the confidence to go anywhere, regardless of which car they drive.

The problem

Range anxiety remains the single biggest barrier to EV adoption in the UK. And it's not just about battery size — it's about uncertainty. Drivers don't know how far they'll really get in the cold, in the rain, up a hill, or with a boot full of luggage.

Most in-car planners give you a flat range estimate that ignores real-world conditions entirely. A "250 mile range" in summer becomes 180 miles in a January headwind — and drivers only find out the hard way.

Then there's the 8 million UK households without a driveway. If you can't charge at home, public charging isn't a convenience — it's your lifeline. But prices vary wildly between networks, chargers are often broken, and there's no easy way to know which nearby charger will be cheapest, fastest, and actually working right now.

Our approach

WayEV is two tools in one. For journeys, our physics-based consumption engine models the real forces acting on your car — aerodynamic drag, rolling resistance, gradient forces, battery temperature effects, and auxiliary loads — to plan accurate charging stops for any EV brand.

For everyday charging, Charge Now helps you find the cheapest, fastest, and most reliable charger near you right now. Save your regular chargers, get price-drop alerts, and see reliability scores based on real community data — so you never waste time driving to a broken unit.

Combined with Met Office weather data, Open-Meteo elevation profiles, and non-linear charging curves specific to each vehicle, WayEV gives you the complete picture — whether you're driving to Edinburgh or just topping up around the corner.

01

Accuracy over simplicity

We model real physics, not round numbers. Your Kia EV6 in 4°C rain with a headwind gets a different estimate than an MG4 in summer sunshine.

02

Brand-neutral

We work with every EV sold in the UK. No manufacturer partnerships, no bias — just the best route and cheapest charge for your specific vehicle.

03

Price optimisation

Track charging costs across networks, get alerts when your saved chargers drop in price, and always know where the best deal is within your radius.

04

Transparent data

We show you what's affecting your range and your wallet: weather impact, elevation, battery degradation, and real-time pricing. You understand why, not just what.
