UK charger network reliability
A monthly report of how much of the time each UK charging network’s public chargers were out of service, measured from the operators’ own live status feeds. Each month has its own page with every figure, the method and the data to download.
Latest: September 2026
In September 2026, trevl followed 8,040 sites and 11,606 connectors on 4 UK charging networks with live status feeds. Taken together, their feeds reported connectors out of service for 5.6% of the time they were observed, ranging from 1.7% (Clenergy) to 22.3% (GeniePoint (EQUANS)). 7 other networks were left out for lack of data. Provisional until 5 November 2026.
- Clenergy1.7%
- char.gy3.5%
- Osprey Charging5.4%
- GeniePoint (EQUANS)22.3%

Outages and repair times, network-by-network figures, the networks left out and why, and the method are on the month’s page.
How the report works
- From the operators’ own feeds. Every figure is what a network’s live status feed said about its connectors, hour by hour, weighted so a large network counts per charger, not per site.
- Compared only where the data is solid. A network needs readings on two-thirds of the month’s days, from at least 10 sites, with a known status at least 80% of the time. Otherwise it is listed with the reason, not ranked.
- Ordered, never judged. Charts run from least to most time out of service, from zero. No network is called the best or the bottom.
- Published two days after the month ends, rebuilt daily while late readings arrive, and final about a month later. The data is free to reuse under CC BY 4.0.

For operators
If a figure looks wrong for your network, tell us at hello@trevl.co.uk. We will check it against the feed, correct anything that is our mistake and note the correction on the month’s page.
Plan around the chargers that work
trevl plans EV journeys on live charger status from twelve operator feeds and re-plans when a stop goes down.
